SPECIAL NOTICE
My
name is Diana Hooper. I send out articles about essential
oils, as well as a bi-monthly newsletter called Health,
Marketing, & You. You requested to be on one, or both,
of these lists at some point in time.
Now,
the reason I'm telling you this is that I have been receiving
several spam complaints of late. (Most likely not from
you )
These
surprise me, because the people complaining requested
the information I send. Sigh I do my very best to remove
the email of the complainee (there is positively NO reason
to continue sending messages to them, right?). However,
I have a major problem...
ISPs
do not provide the entire email address for privacy reasons.
That's fine, but how can I remove "Jennifer"
or "Dee" that has an aol address when I have
six other people that match that description? I know that
you can understand this delimma.
My
request to you is if, perchance, you don't want to hear
from me, just send me a quick email to: takemeoffyourlist@essentialsoflife.net
It doesn't take much longer than hitting that button,
and it will help me keep my list clean!
Also,
in an effort to comply with spam regulations, I have to
remove everyone that fits the bill. So, if you receive
a removal notice in error, please just let me know and
I'll put you back on the list.
Thanks
a bunch!

How
to stop procrastination from holding you back
Most people think that procrastination is just an annoying
or funny habit. They might joke that they have a mile-long
to-do list or a stack of books that they never get around
to reading. Those examples would be a very mild form
of
procrastination - but it can get much more serious than
that.
Procrastination
can destroy your life if you let it. It
can cause financial problems, relationship problems,
health
crises, and more.
The
causes for procrastination are numerous, but here are
three of the most common ones:
1.
Believing a task will 'take too long', so you keep
putting it off until you have more time.
2.
Believing a task will be too difficult, so you keep
putting it off until you feel ready to handle it.
3.
Waiting for a 'better time' to tackle a task, such as
waiting until you're not so stressed, or your life
circumstances have quieted down, or waiting until you
have
less demands on your time.
Have
you ever procrastinated because of these reasons?
Most people have. But the problem arises when:
1.
You never have more time.
2.
You never feel ready to handle it.
3.
A better time never arrives.
What
then? The task never gets accomplished, and
conditions continue to get worse as time goes on.
There
is one simple way to deal with all three of these
procrastination habits: do a little each day!
One
major theme runs through all three of those causes
above, and that is that you don't believe you have what
it
takes (time, ability or resources) to complete the whole
job. And maybe you really don't. But can you do SOME
of
it? Can you work on it for a few minutes at a time?
In
most cases, the answer will be yes.
The
greatest way I've ever found to overcome
procrastination is to push myself to get moving on
something - even for a few minutes. I'll set an egg
timer
for 15 minutes or so, and promise myself that I can
stop
after that if I want to.
Once
the 15 minutes are up, however, I no longer feel the
need to procrastinate. I'm making progress and feeling
good about it.
Try
it yourself and see the difference!
And
remember, procrastination cannot hold you back if you
make it your mission to take action - even if only for
a
few minutes each day!

Fluoridation:
Cavity Preventer or Toxic Waste?
Fluoride
facts:
-No fluoride
products designed for ingestion have ever been approved as
safe or effective by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
(1)
-The National
Institute of Dental Research found virtually no difference
in dental decay between children living in fluoridated vs.
unfluoridated areas.(2)
-Just
over two grams of fluoride (roughly a teaspoon) is enough
to kill a 160-pound adult, while just 300 mg is enough to
kill a 20-pound child.(3)
-A 1995
study found that fluoride accumulated in the brain produced
age-specific behavioral deficits typical of most neurotoxic
agents.(4)
-Studies
have found an association between elevated fluoride and decreased
IQs in children.(5)
-Fluoride
facilitates the uptake of aluminum into the brain producing
amyloid deposits that are associated with Alzheimer's disease
and other types of dementia.(6)
-Fluoride
is a mutagen-a classification that frequently indicates that
a substance is carcinogenic.(7)
"For
decades, we have been told a lie, a lie that has led to the
deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans and the weakening
of the immune systems of tens of millions more. This lie is
called fluoridation. A process we were led to believe was
a safe and effective method of protecting teeth from decay
is in fact a fraud. In recent years it's been shown that fluoridation
is neither essential for good health nor protective of teeth.
What it does is poison the body. We should all at this point
be asking how and why public health policy and the American
media continue to live with and perpetuate this scientific
sham. " -Gary Null, Ph.D.

The Lighter Side
Shopping
Watching
her aunt as she tried on her new fur
coat, young Stephanie said unhappily, "Aunt Cathy,
do you realize some poor dumb beast suffered
so you could have that?"
Cathy
shot her teen niece an angry look and said,
"Stephanie, how dare you talk about your uncle
like that!"
Blonde
at the Baseball Game
The world's
most avid baseball fan, a blonde,
had arrived early at the stadium for the first
game of the series between local rival teams
only to realize that she had left her ticket
at home. Not wanting to miss any of the first
inning, she went to the ticket booth and got
in a long line for another seat. After an
hour's wait she was just a few feet from the
booth when a voice called out, "Hey, Linda!"
She looked
up, stepped out of line and tried
to find the owner of the voice; with no success.
Then she
realized she had lost her place in
the line, and had to go back to the end of
the line and wait all over again.
After
she had purchased her ticket, she was
thirsty, so she went to buy a beer. The line
at the concession stand was also very long.
But since the game hadn't started she decided
to wait. Just as she got to the window, a
voice called out "Hey, Linda!"
Again
she tried to find the voice and got out
of line as she wandered looking for the owner
of the voice; but no luck.
She was
very upset as she got back in line for
her beer.
Finally
she had her beer and took her seat eager
for the game to begin. As she waited for the
first pitch, she heard the voice calling, "Hey,
Linda!" once more.
Furious,
she stood up and yelled a the top of
her lungs, "My name isn't Linda! I'm Cathy!"
Hospital
Visit
An elderly
fellow was taken to the hospital
for an examination of his circulatory system.
When he got home, his wife asked what had
happened.
He replied,
"They worked this gadget into my
artery and up into my heart, and then they
sucked out thirty years of chocolate cake."
Jeffrey
Lewis: Taking Ownership of Your Life
Jeffrey
Lewis has been involved in network marketing for almost
thirty years. During this time, he has worked with several
different companies, but, according to Jeffrey, none of
the other companies had the integrity, solidity, and product
quality of Young Living. Jeffrey says, "Prior to Young
Living, I have only enjoyed intermediate success. Now I
have astounding success. The difference is Young Living
has products that really work, a solid executive team, and
a company mission that is focused on quality instead of
profit."
When he attended his first Young Living Grand Convention,
Jeffrey's life changed. He says, "My first YL convention
changed my life forever. I met Gary Young and felt his passion.
I saw what Young Living was all about. It lit me on fire.
I could see the big picture, and I saw myself in that picture.
I was never the same after that." Because of his personal
experience, Jeffrey is a strong advocate of attending Young
Living trainings and meetings. He says, "I tell everyone
that they have to attend the meetings, trainings, and especially
the annual conventions because it will change their lives
forever. I tell people that attending meetings is a very
wise investment of time and money. Nothing will build their
businesses faster. I travel because it is worth it to me
and my business. Building through events is one of the best
ways to build a business, and it is a great way to meet
other YL leaders."
Attributing his personal success to his desire to keep learning,
Jeffrey says, "Being arrogant or closed minded is the
surest way to fail at network marketing. You have to be
teachable. You should read everything the company provides
and information about the network marketing industry. Leaders
are readers." Like many successful network marketing
professionals, Jeffrey has found that the top people in
network marketing are constantly developing better ways
to do things and that reading is the best way to stay informed.
Jeffrey states, "It is all about personal growth. Your
income is only as large as your personal growth. The more
you learn by reading or attending events, the more you grow,
and the more you grow, the more you will earn."
In
his trainings, Jeffrey focuses on teaching people how to
own their lives. He shares, "It is all about owning
your life. I always ask people, 'What would it be like if
you had the time, the freedom, the money, and the health
to do whatever you desired with your life?' I love to ask
people that question. It makes them think and it puts everything
Young Living offers in perspective."
Jeffrey
is also very team focused. He says, "We have a great
team of people who are so much fun and who remain teachable.
We love them very much, and I know it sounds very cliche,
but we always stress we wouldn't be where we are in our
Young Living business without them." Continuing, Jeffrey
says, "It's been exciting watching people grow holistically
in every sense of the word. We've seen some people grow
into leaders, seen others grow a deeper connection to spirit,
and yet others have gotten their health back after years
of pain and suffering. We have seen people replace their
incomes with Young Living compensation. They make more now
than ever before. You can't have a more rewarding life than
that! We love the acronym for TEAM: Together Everyone Accomplishes
More."
Speaking
about the future success of Young Living, Jeffrey says,
"I see amazing international growth. The executives
have carefully laid a solid foundation to support the coming
global boom. Young Living is opening new international markets
that will be huge. I have learned through my history of
working in network marketing that if something is going
well in the United States, when it hits international, it
will grow ten times faster."
According
to Jeffrey, the key to being successful at Young Living
is to love people and to really care about them personally.
He says, "Success comes by loving people enough that
you are focused on their success instead of your own. You
have to love people enough that you are willing to help
them, and encourage them, even when they do not desire your
help or your encouragement. You have to not only praise
their success, but help them get back on track when they
slip off. My goal is to help thousands of people earn sizable
incomes and enjoy financial freedom and better health. I
help people own their life."
